Characteristics of the cards
In each card, surrounding the mirror there is a different figurative character\image or background which provides a framework that allows a visual connection to a narrative, a symbol, or a figure. In this way, the observer of the card becomes, according to their choice and interpretation, a “soldier,” a “clown,” a “reflection in the heart of a lake,” etc. Overall, all the cards are abstract in style, with each card including a changing combination of features, some more dominant than others:
• Colour: bold / subtle; contrasting colours / similar shades; warm / cool, or a combination of both.
• Line and movement: straight / rounded / jagged / changing lines; a sense of movement / a sense of stillness.
• Structure: clear symmetry / asymmetry; minimalistic (a lot of “air”) / maximalistic (dense shapes/colours).
• In other words The content of the various backgrounds varies in shape and colour, which bring forth different qualities to each card: lines ranging from smooth to curved, the size of the pieces ranging from small to large, the number of pieces on the card ranging from few to many, and the colour palette ranging from monochromatic to highly contrasting colours all which create diversity between one card to the other, in addition to the different topic each card has.
